Srinagar: Two women lost their lives in a road accident in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday evening.
According to the Srinagar-based news agency Kashmir Scroll, the accident occurred at Gagangeer Sonamarg when a Tata Mobile vehicle (registration number JK01AS4824) struck two pedestrians, leaving them critically injured.
The victims, identified as Zareefa, wife of Nisar Ahmad Mir, and Sabreena, wife of Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Gagangeer, were taken to PHC Kullan Gund Ganderbal for treatment. However, doctors declared both women dead upon arrival.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
