PULWAMA: A cross-country marathon was successfully organized by Higher Secondary School (HSS) Hawal Pulwama in collaboration with the Jammu Kashmir Police Pulwama under the banner of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, aimed at spreading awareness about a healthy and drug-free society.
The marathon commenced from the Social Forestry Office at Arigam and culminated at the District Police Lines Pulwama, drawing enthusiastic participation from students. The event highlighted the importance of fitness, discipline, and staying away from substance abuse.

Shahid Nazir, a Class 12 student of HSS Hawal Pulwama, secured the first position in the race. Kifayat Ahmed Rather, also a Class 12 student of the same institution, finished second, while Danish Mushtaq, a Class 9 student of Government High School Bandizoo, claimed the third position.
The winners were felicitated by Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama, Ms. Tanushree, in the presence of Principal HSS Hawal Pulwama, Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed, along with other senior officers including Additional Superintendent of Police Pulwama Shafat Mohammad, SP Headquarters Abdul Majid Magrey, and Deputy Superintendent (DR) Syed Mohammad Shafi.
During the ceremony, dignitaries were presented with tokens of appreciation, while the position holders were awarded trophies in recognition of their performance.
The event was coordinated by Arshad Hassan Wani, Senior Lecturer (Mathematics) at HSS Hawal Pulwama, along with Nazir Ahmed (PEL) and Bashir Ahmed (PET) from the Sports Department. Additional coordination was provided by Faisal Parray, Teacher at UPS Uzram Pathri, whose efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the marathon.
