Srinagar: The National Child Development Council (NCDC) members have greeted people on Eid Ul Fitr, which is being celebrated today (April, 10) in Kerala, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh and several other parts of the world, while many other States/UTs of the country are going to celebrate Eid tomorrow on April, 11.

During the recent core committee meeting, the NCDC members have said that: “We extend our heartfelt Eid greetings to all the believers across the world, on the occasion of Eid Ul Fitr, and pray for prosperity, success and happiness”.

The members, including Muhammad Rizwan, Shakila Abdul Wahab, Sheeba, Sudha Menon, Radha Sanjeev and others have unanimously expressed their best wishes on Eid Ul Fitr. Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated immediately after the end of Ramadan, on the first day of the 10th Islamic month i.e. Shawwal.

One of the NCDC core committee members, Shakila Abdul Wahab, while wishing Eid Mubarak to people has said that, “May this Eid bring happiness and success in our lives”. She said that Ramadan is meant to give us strength for the rest of the year, while it gives the message of patience and happiness.”

Earlier, the moon sighting was sighted in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Kerala on Wednesday after which the said regions had announced that the Eid 2024 celebration will be held on Wednesday (being celebrated now), whereas, Muslims in the rest of the country are observing one more day of Ramadan fasting.
