‘My aim is to create videos to aware people about social issues, keep youth away from drug addiction’

Srinagar, Apr 30 (KNO): A youth from Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district is winning hearts of thousands of people through his comedy skills.

Waris Wani @Waris Raj, a resident of Pinglish Tral who after completion of B tech degree in 2017 started creating videos and uploading them on different social media platforms to aware people about social issues.

Waris while talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that somehow he got interested in comedy and after completion of B Tech, he created two videos and uploaded them on facebook and youTube which were widely appreciated.

“I got so much appreciation that I wasn’t able to get out of it but it ignited my comedy skills and I decided to spend my time on content creating and then making videos,” he said. “So far, I have made around 250-300 videos including reels and every video is widely being appreciated as my videos are not just for humour but it contains a clear message.”

Waris said that the main message in his videos remains to aware people about social issues including dowry, poverty, other stigmas and to keep the young generation away from drug addiction and other social issues.

“Waris has a huge fan base as his videos not only contain comedy but it also highlights main issues of our society,” said Manzoor Ahmad, a fan of Waris. “He is the reason behind the happiness of millions of people and his videos help people to get out of tension and depression.”

Waris said that if he won’t upload a video for few days together, people start calling or texting and enquiring about his well-being besides that they request to upload videos at an earliest.

“Our youth are very much talented but they shouldn’t remain only after government jobs, but they must stand on their own legs and start something of their own besides that they can earn handsome amount online legally.”—(KNO)
