New Delhi: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday ordered the transfer and posting of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre with immediate effect. The transfers have been approved by the competent authority and will remain in force until further orders. 

According to the official order, senior IAS officer Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (2009 batch) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh, while Saugat Biswas (2006 batch) has been shifted from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir.

Among other significant IAS transfers, Mamta Yadav (2021 batch) has been posted from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir, Ishita Rathi (2022 batch) has been transferred from Puducherry to Jammu and Kashmir, while Swati Sheemar (2023 batch) has been moved from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi.

In the IPS cadre, Tanushree (2017 batch) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi. The reshuffle also includes the posting of Gaurav Sikarwar (2019 batch), Arshi Adil (2019 batch), Tikam Singh Verma (2020 batch), K.M. Priyanka (2021 batch), Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, Deepak Yadav, Anand Kumar Mishra, and Satish Kumar to Jammu and Kashmir from various AGMUT segments.

The order also provides for transfers of officers across Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Ladakh, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, as part of a wider administrative exercise aimed at strengthening governance and administrative efficiency across the AGMUT cadre. 

The Ministry stated that all transfers and postings shall take effect immediately and will remain valid until further orders.(KNC)
