SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday announced a scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Arampora–Handwara hotline, which will disrupt electricity supply to several areas of north Kashmir on December 29.

An official spokesperson said the shutdown will be observed from 10 am to 3 pm to facilitate maintenance work on the line.

During the shutdown period, power supply will remain affected in Handwara town and adjoining areas, including Chogal, Pohrupeth, Kulangam and Marathgam, the spokesperson said.
