Srinagar: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Rural Kashmir took immediate action after a video surfaced showing an individual performing dangerous stunts using a vehicle bearing registration number JK01AQ-5272. The person was identified as Faisal Fayaz Gojree, son of Fayaz Ahmad Gojree, and a resident of Iqbal Colony, Pattan, Baramulla.
Upon receiving the clip from a senior official, Deputy Superintendent (DySP) Traffic Baramulla swiftly seized the vehicle under relevant sections of the law. Authorities further recommended the suspension of the driver’s license (D/L) and cancellation of the registration certificate (RC) for the involved vehicle.
Faisal Fayaz, a B.A. 3rd Semester student, was counseled by the authorities to ensure he understands the consequences of his actions and the potential risks posed to public safety. Although leniency was shown considering his student status, stringent measures were taken to ensure such incidents are not repeated. His D/L has been recommended for suspension, barring him from operating any vehicle until he demonstrates improved maturity and responsible behavior.
The SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws, urging parents and guardians to counsel young drivers against reckless driving. Such incidents not only endanger the driver but also risk the lives of pedestrians and other road users. The swift action taken in this case reflects the authorities’ commitment to ensuring road safety and deterring unlawful behavior.
This incident serves as a reminder that the law will be enforced strictly to maintain discipline on the roads while also giving young offenders an opportunity to learn and reform. (CNS)
