Jammu: Shiv Sena, Jammu and Kashmir Unit, on Wednesday resolved to extend their support to Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on two Lok Sabha seats in the Kashmir division.
The consensus has been reached upon by the two political parties after a meeting between JKNC President Dr Farooq Abdullah and partymen of Shiv Sena.
“As per the instructions of the party state chief Manish Sahni a delegation of party leaders led by the party’s Kashmir division president Malik Bashir met Farooq Abdullah and extended conditional support to NC candidates from Srinagar and Baramulla seats,” reads a media statement.
“The party extended support on issues like restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, protection of its cultural identity with special privileges to protect the rights of the local people and equal development of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions,” the statement underscores.
