Unknown gunmen suspected to be militants fired upon a cop in the Bemina area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday evening.
Local News Agency Kashmir Scroll quoted sources as saying that militants fired upon a police cop identified as Hafiz Ahmad son of Ghulam Hassan Chat of Mathiya Bund Hamdania colony Bemina. He has been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be critical.
Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
