Srinagar: Amid unprecedented heatwave across Kashmir Valley, the government is likely to extend ongoing summer vacations upto Friday, sources said.

“The schools will get an extension for at least five more days, and schools will reopen to resume the routine activities from Saturday (July 12),” the sources added.

“The decision, which is expected to be publicised very soon, is being taken after government considering the repeated pleas made from different walks of life, and keeping in view the overall health and well-being of children, to give extension to the ongoing break amid sultry weather conditions,” they further added. –(Alfaaz -The Words)
