In a bizarre incident reported in Kashmir, a brother became a fresh victim in a family dispute.

Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Scroll quoted officials as saying that a fight between two families left one dead in the Bonizil Haripora area of Ganderbal in central Kashmir.

Sources said that due to a land dispute, two families quarreled between each other at Bonzil Haripora, in which one person, identified as Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, son of Amir Sheikh, a 65-year-old  retired employee, got injured and was shifted to PHC Wusen, where doctors declared him dead.

A senior police officer told the news agency Kashmir Scroll that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.

Earlier last week, in an unfortunate incident, the police in Sopore town arrested a man accused of killing his brother. In another fresh incident in the Pattan area, a brother was injured in a fight between two brothers.
