SHOPIAN: The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police on Monday announced the closure of the Mughal Road after heavy rainfall triggered shooting stones at several locations along the route.
Authorities said that all kinds of vehicular movement have been halted on the stretch as a precautionary measure. Commuters have been strongly advised to avoid travel until the weather improves and the road is cleared for safe passage.
“Mughal Road is closed due to shooting stones at several places. Weather heavy raining on whole stretch. All sort of vehicular movement stopped. Commuters are advised not to take journey till the weather improves and road is clear. Please check status of roads at traffic police Twitter handle, Facebook page,” the J&K Traffic Police said in a post on X.
