SRINAGAR: The meteorological department on Saturday predicted moderate to heavy rains in several parts of Jammu on 31 Aug.
Director MeT, Dr Mukhtar, has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall over several districts of Jammu region towards early morning of August 31.
The districts likely to be affected include Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri, Reasi, Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar, Samba and Udhampur, with rains expected between 4 am and 11 am.
Authorities have warned of the possibility of cloudbursts, flash-floods and landslides, urging people to stay alert.
