SRINAGAR: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Srinagar on Thursday evening issued a weather advisory, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall with brief intense showers over several districts of Jammu Division.
According to the forecast, one or two spells of heavy rain are likely at many places across Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri, Reasi, Doda, Samba, and Udhampur during the next 12 hours. The advisory further cautioned that heavy rain or intense showers may trigger flash floods, landslides, and waterlogging in vulnerable areas.
Residents and travelers have been urged to remain vigilant and avoid risky routes during the period of inclement weather.
The alert, issued at 2115 hrs on August 29, will remain valid till 0900 hrs on August 30.
