Srinagar: A militant associate was apprehended in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.
Quoting police official, GNS reported that, Police along with Army 22 RR and CRPF 92 battalion nabbed the terrorist associate and arms ammunition along with other incriminating material was recovered from him.
The militant associate, the official said, was apprehended during Naka checking near Unisoo area.
He has been identified as Ishfaq Majeed Dar son of Abdul Majeed Dar from Latti Shart Sopore.
The official said that a pistol along with live ammunition were recovered from his possession.
A case FIR No 198/24 U/S 13, 23 ULAP, 7/25 IA Act stands registered and investigation taken up, the official added.
