Shopian: District Administration Shopian carried out a massive rally in Main Town Shopian under Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on eve of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and in the run-up to Nation’s 76th Independence Day.
The rally commenced from Jamia Masjid market and traversed around the Clock Tower area,at the centre of the Town. The Rally was led by District Magistrate Shopian Sachin Kumar Vashiya and Senior Superintendent of Police Shopian, Tanushree. Hundreds of employees of various departments participated in the Tiranga Rally with Tricolour in their hands alongwith social activists, civil society members, transporters and public.People were seen chanting slogans of Har Ghar Tiranga and patriotic songs reverberated through the town during the rally. During the rally, all the district and sectoral officers were also present.
Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was launched to encourage Indians worldwide to hoist the National flag on their homes between 13 to 15 August. This campaign will serve as a reminder to citizens’ dedication to nation-building ahead of the 76th year of Independence. Its main goal is to inculcate a sense of patriotism in the hearts of citizens and raise awareness about the importance of National Flag.
