Srinagar: As the decks are being cleared thick and fast for the formation of new government in Jammu and Kashmir, the grapevine is rife that the political appointments during the Governor rule are set to be done away with by or before this weekend.

Most of the political appointments, including those of advisors and consultants, vice chairman’s/chairpersons are set to cease to be effective as the (Lieutenant) Governor rule is no more enforceable in Jammu and Kashmir.

The appointment of Advocate General is likely to sustain.

Notably, the JKNC-INC alliance has already staked a claim on the government formation and the oath taking ceremony may happen in a few days time.
