SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced multiple scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of the Valley for maintenance work, the Chief Engineer (Distribution) said on Saturday.

The 33 kV Pampore–Lethpora line will remain shut on December 13 and 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., affecting Samboora, Lethpora, CRPF Lethpora, Ladhoo, Konibal, LIS and surrounding localities.

Besides, the 33 kV Kangan–Surfraw line will be shut on December 14, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., disrupting power supply to Surfraw, Gund, Gadribal, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan and adjoining areas.

On December 15, the 33 kV Shariefabad–Wadwan line will remain shut from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., impacting Shariefabad, Durbal, Soibugh, Bonpora, Astanpora, Wadwan, Cheki Hathran, Hanjikpora, Dharmuna, Russu, Gotpora, Pymus and nearby localities.

The same day, the 33 kV Shariefabad–Narbal line will be shut from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., affecting Narbal, Kawoosa, Lawaypora, Sozeith, Sanoor, Malpora, Redbugh, Railway Station Mazhama and surrounding areas.

KPDCL has advised residents of the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the scheduled outages. -(KL)
