SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Kashmir between June 14 and 26 to facilitate the shifting of electrical utilities along various roads, officials said on Wednesday.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Badampora–Wangipora Tap line will be shut down on June 16 and 26 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, resulting in outages at 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Batwina, Wangipora, and Nowgam. The power supply will be affected in Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal, and adjoining areas during the shutdown window.

In a similar move, the 33 KV Badampora–Army Hakbara line will undergo shutdown on June 16 and 26 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, impacting 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Hakbara, Hajin, Madwan, and Army. Power supply will remain suspended in Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer, and surrounding areas.

Additionally, the 33 KV Lar–Tulmulla line will be taken down on June 14 and 17, also from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, affecting Receiving Stations at Lar and Tulmulla. The shutdown will disrupt electricity supply in Lar, Waliwar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Larsun, and nearby localities. -(KL)
