UDHAMPUR: A contractor lost his life in a tragic accident at Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur on Wednesday, officials said.
They identified the deceased as Sanjeev Sharma. They further said that the incident occurred while he was on duty at the GMC premises when a pipe reportedly fell from above and struck him on the head, resulting in his on-the-spot death.
Soon after the incident, authorities rushed to the spot and initiated necessary legal and procedural formalities. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the accident are being ascertained. (KNC)
