Srinagar: Another militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in Juthana Kathua, taking the toll to two.
Quoting official, news agency Kashmir Bulletin reported that two militants have been killed in forces’ action thus far.
“During the exchange of gunfire, five security forces personnel have also sustained injuries of diverse nature, and have been evacuated to nearby hospital for immediate treatment,” the official added.
Pertinent to mention here that the encounter broke out on Thursday afternoon after security forces cordoned off a suspected site after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the Juthana area.
Top security officers, including IGP Jammu and IG CRPF are closely monitoring the operation.
