POONCH: An infiltration bid was foiled by troops by killing an intruder along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district on Tuesday, officials said
According to the Army, suspicious movement was detected nearly 300 metres inside in the Krishna Ghati sector at around 4 pm during sustained surveillance operations.
Troops swiftly responded to the movement and engaged the intruder, successfully foiling the infiltration attempt and preventing any breach of the LoC, White Knight Corps said in a post on ‘X’. “One intruder has been neutralised.”
The Army said troops continue to dominate the area and maintain a high state of operational readiness across the sector. (GNS)
