Bandipore: Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School Plan Bandipore on Saturday organized an industrial site visit for students to Upper Sind Hydro Power Project-2nd (USHP-II) Kangan.
An official said around 150 students along with the teachers visited the plant.The tour was intended to provide an opportunity for students to see and experience real power plants, machines, systems, and interact with highly trained and experienced personnel.
Engineer of the Project Mohammad Yahya showed the students all processes involved in generation of electricity and design of the project generating 105 MW of power. Yahya also had an interactive session with the students of the school and replied to their queries. The students said that the visit was enjoyable,entertaining and informative.
Principal of the school Mohammad Rafiq Parrey expressed gratitude to officers of power station for making students aware with different technical aspects of (USHP-II). He also appreciated the hospitality and cooperation of all officials and thanked Deputy Director Fisheries as well.
