Two day wet spell is likely from 09 December over J&K
No continuous or heavy rain/ snow expected during this Period.
A fresh Western Disturbance wave Likely to affect jammu and kashmir from 09 Dec morning to 10 Dec afternoon under its Influence light to moderate rain /snow showers is possible over jammu and kashmir .
As per Kashmir weather forecast most of weather models like _GFS,GEM,ECMWF,ICON etc showing that jammu and kashmir to get light rain in plains while light to moderate snowfall is possible at higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.
Possibility of moderate snowfall across Gurez mountains, upper Kupwara, sonemarg, Zojila pass Zanaskar valley , Sinthan top, sadhna top , peer ki gali , and Margan top etc
Regarding snow in plains there is less chances of snow in plains of Kashmir however very light snow or mixed rain snow can occur at few plains especially shopian, kupwara overall light rain is expected at most plains.
Light to moderate snowfall is also expected over Ladakh region during 09-10 Dec .
Improvement in weather is expected from 10 Dec late afternoon thereafter mainly dry weather is expected across Jammu and Kashmir till 17th Dec.
