A Mega Block Diwas programme was conducted today at Sub Divisional Office Zainapora Shopian with Div.Com.Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole in Chair.
DDC, Chairperson, Biqees Jan, District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya SSP, Shopian, Amrit Paul Singh,Chief Planning Officer,Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, DDC, Members, PRI’s and senior officers, officers from line departments and other concerned besides people in large number from various areas of Block Zainapora participated in the said Block Diwas Programme.
The DDC Members, PRI’s on the occasion, raised various issues and demands which include scarcity of potable drinking water facility, Marraige Hall, upgradation of schools, uninterrupted power supply to the inhabitants of the various areas, road connectivity, playing fields, irrigation facilities, completion of Zainapora Bijbehara road and other demands of vital public importance.
The Div. Com. listened to them patiently and assured that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner within a shortest possible time for the well-being of the people.He said that the aim of this block diwas is to listen to the demands of the general public at their door steps for effective resolution of issues faced by the inhabitants of their respective areas.He assured the completion of Zainapora Bijbehara road within stipulated time frame.
The Div. Com. added that people have a right to raise their issues so that their issues and demands will be redressed at an earliest in a given timeline.
District Magistrate apprised
the Div.Com. about the functioning and achievements and progress made with respect to implementation of welfare and developmental activities of the government.
Div.Com. added that satisfactory redressal is the top most priority of the Government.
Highlighting the importance of road connectivity around Zainapora Block both for the general public and others, the Div.Com. directed the officials of R&B, PDD, PHE and Irrigation to ensure proper maintenance of all roads, irrigation canals, PHE Schemes etc.
