UP bride files police complaint after groom kisses her on stage at wedding

UP: A woman approached a police station after her groom kissed her on stage during the wedding ceremony.

A woman in Uttar Pradesh’ Sambhal district walked out of her own wedding after the groom kissed her on stage during the ceremony. She went to the police station to file a complaint and told the cops she no longer wanted to live with the groom.

“If he couldn’t control himself in front of 300 people, how will he behave in the future?” said the bride while talking to India Today.

The couple got married during a mass wedding ceremony held by Uttar Pradesh government on November 28. The ceremony was held in the Puwasa village of Sambhal district

After the bride garlanded the groom, the two were sitting on stage when the groom kissed the bride. Outraged by the act, the bride got up and walked out of the wedding venue.

The bride’s family, after failing to pacify her, took her to the police station in Bahjoi. The Bahjoi police station-in-charge told India Today that both sides reached an agreement and the couple is currently separated and hence no police action was required.
