Srinagar: In a significant development ahead of the upcoming Urban-Local-Bodies (ULB) elections, the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party has announced the appointment of Adv. Owais Mushtaq Khan as party’s Incharge for Shopian Township. Owais has served in Shopian district under various capacities over the past decade – earning him trust and respect among the social circles.

Expressing his gratitude towards the party leadership, particularly Vice President of J&K Apni Party and District President of Shopian, Mr. Zafar Iqbal Manhas, Owais pledged his commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots level. He emphasized his dedication to making the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, led by Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, a force to be reckoned with in the political landscape of the region.

Soon after his appointment as the Incharge of the township, Owais taking to social media wrote; “I take this occasion to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the whole party leadership, especially to vice president j&k Apni party and district president shopian Mr. Zafar Iqbal Manhas sb for reposing faith in me and bestowing me with the mandate to represent my party at grassroot level. I vouch to work with full enthusiasm and vigour to give push to the party from ground level and to make Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari led Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party a force to reckon with. Insha Allah will work for the development and betterment of Shopian. #Youth will be our main priority. I request our youth to Come and join the caravan of change and be a part of change (sic.).”
