Shopian,05-Oct: Another gunfight rages between Militants and Security forces in Moolu area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Moolu area.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an encounter.
A senior police officer also confirmed about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
Police also confirmed the operation through a tweet, police wrote “Second #encounter has started in Moolu area of #Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.
@JmuKmrPolice”
Pertinently this is the 2nd gunfight within 12 hours in Shopian district.
Another encounter which was started earlier is still in progress.
