Srinagar: During his door-to-door campaign in Chanpora area of Srinagar, constituency, the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, Altaf Bukhari, keen to bring up the immediate need to look into basic necessities like water and electricity.
He said there had been complete failure on the government’s part in the last seven years to address these very basic needs and pointed out a huge gap between the administration and the public.
Bukhari said his party is serious about fulfilling all its commitments incontestably, including the announcement about general amnesty to detained youths.
He further added that there was also a need to impress and emphasize the issue of highly inflated power bills for below-the-poverty-line people.
“We have to revamp the system to bring relief to the people and restore their confidence,” Bukhari said adding he would do so if provided with an opportunity. (News Vibes of India)
