Ganderbal: Accused of the murder of a young readymade shop owner Fayaz Ahmad Dar of Kacchan Ganderbal, killed yesterday, was arrested within hours of committing the heinous crime.
The brutal murder that took place in Kachhan Pirpora village last evening had sent Shockwaves across the area.
Station House Officer Ganderbal, Sheikh Manzoor Ahmad as per news agency Kashmir Scroll said that the absconding accused identified as Manzoor Ahmed Wani, son of Abdul Rashid Wani of the same locality was arrested near his house after hectic efforts and effective use of technology by Ganderbal Police.
He said the accused had tried hard to evade his arrest but the police team did its best to locate and nab the culprit within hours and he was sent behind the bars.
When asked what was the actual reason of the scuffle and motive behind the Murder, S.H.O said the matter is under investigation.
A criminal case in this regard has been registered under FIR No. 109/2024 under sections 307, 452, 302 in the police station Ganderbal he added.
Pertinently Shopkeeper Fayaz Ahmad Dar, the owner of a ready-made shop in Kachan Pirpora, was seriously injured in the attack by the accused with a sharp knife yesterday and the attacker fled away from the crime scene, meantime, critically injured shopkeeper was taken to the hospital, but he couldn’t survive and lost his life due to a deep stab wound in the chest near his heart.
