Bhat Musadiq Reyaz, a youth from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district attended Asia Youth International Model United Nations Conference in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
Delegates from 32 countries participated in the conference for cooperating and collaborations in pursuing world peace.
“This is an illuminating experience for me to interact and share my ideas with luminaries from different countries for pursuing global peace,” Bhat Musadiq Reyaz told Kashmir Reader on phone from Malaysia, adding that the 4 day conference will run till 3rd October 2022.
He said that during the conference thread bare discussions were held on Sustainable Development Goals(SDG).
He said that during the conference it was stated that the 2030 agenda for sustainable development adopted by all UN members in 2015 , provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity of the people ,now and into the future.
“They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand in hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality and spur economic growth – all while tackling climatic change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.”
Bhat Musaddiq Reyaz, 22, is a resident of Dangerpora locality of Pulwama.
He has been working for the past many years to create a space for youth to express their talent.
He has been organising symposiums, seminars, training programmes and other events for youth to showcase their talent.
This young man from Pulwama runs a blood donors group which so far has provided around 500 points of blood to needy patients.
Musaddiq himself is an active donor and has donated 14 pints of blood.
During the COVID-19 induced lockdown, he arranged two meals to around 400 labourers from different parts of the country.
“The meals were provided to them from my home for two days,” he said, adding that he was appreciated by the district administration for the social service.
He managed 1375 ration kits after raising funds from common people. The ration kits were distributed among the poor.
During COVID Pandemic, he launched education for all under which 1200 students were provided with stationary and books.
For his all round performance, Musaddiq was awarded by district administration of J&K on the 74th & 75th Independence Day.
