SRINAGAR: A 25-year-old youth died after being electrocuted while playing volleyball at the D.K. Marg volleyball ground in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
Quoting official, news agency Kashmir News Corner, reported, that the incident occurred when a volleyball hit a high-tension (HT) power line, causing it to snap and fall on the youth.
The youth was identified as Rizwan Irshad, son of Irshad Ahmad Wani from Lalpora D.K. Marg.
Rizwan sustained multiple injuries and was immediately taken to SDH D.H. Pora for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated.
