SHOPIAN: A woman lost his life after a wall collapsed on her in Check Keegam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday, officials said.
An official said that a cemented wall suddenly collapsed in Check Keegam area, and falls on a woman.
Soon after the incident, locals rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation to pull the woman out from the debris, official said.
However, the woman had already succumbed to her injuries before she could be shifted to a nearby hospital, they said.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation has been initiated. (JKNS)
