SRINAGAR: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party and former Member of Legislative Assembly Sofi Yousuf has issued a strong warning, stating that he would quit the party along with one lakh workers if any move is made to separate Jammu from Kashmir.

Sofi Yousuf told reporters that Jammu and Kashmir are inseparable and any attempt to divide the two regions would be unacceptable. “If Jammu is separated from Kashmir, I will resign from the BJP along with one lakh workers,” he said, asserting that such a decision would go against the sentiments and interests of the people.

The BJP leader said the strength of Jammu and Kashmir lies in its unity and warned against policies that could deepen regional divides. He said the party must remain connected to ground realities and public sentiment. [KNT]
