Ganderbal: A massive search has been launched by the wildlife department after the locals spotted a leopard at Sheikhpora area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday evening, officials said.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the wildlife department here has started massive search operation in various areas of Ganderbal district to catch a leopard, found roaming at Sheikhpora, area of Sindhbal.
DFO Wildlife department, Feroz Ahmad said the search operation has been launched after people spotted a leopard in the locality.
“A team has been rushed to the area that will take all the measures for necessary intervention,” he said.
“Due to darkness, it creates hurdle for team but the operation will be continue till the leopard is captured alive,” he added.
