Forecast:
Widespread moderate rain/snow is expected across most areas of Jammu & Kashmir until March 3rd (Afternoon), with peak activity anticipated from the night of March 1st to the night of March 2nd.
Few places may experience heavy to very heavy snowfall, particularly over the higher reaches of North Kashmir, Central & South Kashmir, and the Pirpanjal range of Jammu Division.
Some areas may also experience thunder, lightning, hailstorms accompanied by gusty winds during March 1st & 2nd.

Due to heavy to very heavy snowfall in middle & higher reaches:
- Travelers/Tourists are advised to plan accordingly and follow administrative/Traffic police advisories.
- The general public in hilly areas are advised to avoid venturing into avalanche-prone and slopy areas. (Follow avalanche warnings & advisories)
- Chances of landslides/mudslides and shooting stones at few places.
- Farmers are advised to withhold irrigation and other farm operations during the 1st week of March.
