Independent forecaster Aadil Maqbool predicts a significant Western Disturbance

Srinagar: A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to impact Jammu and Kashmir from October 23, bringing with it the season’s first snowfall.

According to independent weather forecaster Aadil Maqbool, various international weather models predict rain and snow during this period, with a 60% chance of snowfall in the plains of Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Doodhpatri, and Peer Ki Gali.

Maqbool advises apple farmers to protect their crops ahead of the anticipated wet spell. The disturbance is expected to last from October 23 to 26, with a 55% chance of occurrence, though updates in the coming days may refine these predictions.
