Two LeT associates held with arms and ammunition in Baramulla: police
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two LeT militants along with arms and ammunition.
A senior police officer told Kashmir Scroll said that the Police, Army 29 RR and 2 Bn SSB have busted a militant module at Baramulla Pattan and arrested two militant Associates of LeT outfit who were identified as Farooq Ahmad Parra S/O Gh Ahmad Parra R/O Par Mohalla Patton and Saima Bashir D/O Bashir Ahmad Mir R/O Chinkipora, Sopore.
On their disclosure the following recoveries have been made- Pistol-1, Pistol Magazines-2, Pistol rounds- 5 IED and one remote control IED weighing approximately 2kgs.
“During their further questioning, they revealed that the duo were working as militant Associates with active militant namely Abid Qayoom Lone of Wussan Pattan associated with banned militant organisation LeT outfit.
He said that case under sections of Arms and ULA (P) Act stands registered in Police station Pattan and investigation set into motion the officer added—(KS)
