Srinagar: Suspected militants on Thursday evening kidnapped and ‘killed’ two Village Defence Guards in Kishtwar district of Jammu division.
Initial reports suggest that two VDGs identified as Nazir Ahmad and Kuldip Kumar, were kidnapped by suspected militants in a forest area of Kishtwar.
While it is presumed that both the kidnapped VDGs have been killed, the bodies of the victims are however yet to be recovered.
A massive search operation has been launched by security forces in the area to locate the bodies and simultaneously nab the assailants.
