Srinagar: Social activis Beenish, hailing from downtown Srinagar, vice president and district coordinator of Aab e Rawan NGO. Benish, said that I was born in a middle class family in downtown Srinagar. My Schooling is done from Woodland House School Srinagar, then I pursued Diploma in civil engineering from Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) & Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from SSM College of engineering & technology. I am a Social activist and a Artist too, currently I am working in a private firm as Site office coordinator, and Vice president of Aab e Rawan NGO. We have organized many events through Aabe E Ravan like Lal Ded, Rooh e Anwar and many more. We have also conducted a successful Painting competition at Kupwara. During the lockdown, I did many things through my NGO to help people like distributing food kits, arranging blood donation camps and arranging oxygen concentration etc. Talking about my Art, my love for art was from small age, since my school days I loved painting, sketching and art & craft. I have won many painting as well as handwriting competition. My message for youth is that “ Raise your head high and leave all the fear of mind behind. Never step back when the storm comes, instead face it with the full courage”, she said.
