The Srinagar-Jammu national highway has been temporarily closed for traffic following a landslide in the Kishtwari Pather and Sherbibi areas of Ramban district.

Srinagar based News Agency Kashmir Scroll quoted officials as saying that authorities have issued a warning to the public, urging them to refrain from traveling on the highway until the situation improves.

The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic police, in a post on social media also informed the public about the road blockade caused by the landslide.

They have advised people to avoid traveling on National Highway-44 until the weather conditions improve and the road is cleared.
