Srinagar: Two militants have been killed in an encounter in Nowpora Sopore in Baramulla district.
News agency Kashmir Scroll quoted a top police officer as saying that two militants have been killed in an encounter which broke out on Thursday evening.
“The identity of the killed militants is yet to be ascertained.”
The operation continued at the site, when this report was being filed.
In the meantime, the Additional Magistrate Sopore has directed for suspension of classwork in all government and private educational institutions, including colleges, falling in Sopore tehsil as a precautionary measure.
