A local court in north Kashmir’s Sopore has found a professor guilty in the sexual harassment case at SKUAST Wadoora. The court has ordered a one-year imprisonment and a fine of 15,000 rupees for the accused.
According to a court order obtained by News Agency Kashmir Scroll, the Prosecution CIM Court in Sopore successfully secured a conviction in the case. The accused, who held the position of HOD Extension in SKUAST Wadoora, has been sentenced to one year in prison and fined 15,000 rupees.
It is worth mentioning that the trial of this case was concluded within a record time of nine months. This speedy resolution showcases the commitment and dedication of the legal system in addressing such sensitive matters.
