Udhampur: Police on Wednesday said that sentary fired some aerial gunshots after observing the Suspicious movement in the Sang area of Basanthgarh in Udhampur district.
Srinagar based news agency GNS quoted top police officer as saying that the sentry opened fire towards the tree line after discerning suspicious movement.
There was no attack as being circulated in social media, the officer said.
He also said that people should refrain from circulating unsubstantial posts, the officer added.
