Shopian: To commemorate a decade of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Shopian, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports, organized a sports programme aimed at fostering confidence, strategic thinking, and empowerment among young students.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various schools in carrom and chess competitions, emphasizing the importance of focus, decision-making, and overcoming challenges.
Addressing the gathering, District Social Welfare Officer Shopian and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Shopian delivered motivational speeches, urging students to break societal barriers, challenge norms, and embrace education as a powerful tool for empowerment. Their words reinforced the core message of BBBP—uplifting girls through education and opportunities.
