SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference chief Sajad Gani Lone has launched a sharp attack on the Chief Minister over the issue of smart meters, accusing him of misleading the public.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Lone wrote, “Now this is no longer about free 200 units of electricity. This is now about the CM sahib lying through his teeth. The comparison between the pre- and post-election videos of CM sahib about smart meters unambiguously and digitally nails the lies and deception. Mark my words, this is the ‘coffee and toffee’ moment for CM sahib for all times to come.”
Lone’s remarks come amid growing public outrage over the installation of smart meters and Omar Abdullah’s response to question. His statement, drawing parallels to the “coffee and toffee” controversy.
