Driving through those rain-soaked puddles almost led to a serious accident. If another car had been in front of me, a collision seemed unavoidable, potentially causing severe harm. This near miss was a direct result of both reckless driving and the persistent issue of poor drainage.
The continuous rains have created significant waterlogging on the roads, a problem that urgently needs proper attention before it escalates into a disaster. Compounding this is a decline in civic responsibility. It seems consideration for others on the road is fading.
The careless way some people drive through puddles, splashing muddy water on already struggling pedestrians, is disheartening. Today, I experienced this firsthand in a terrifying way. My entire windshield and side windows were suddenly covered in mud, completely obstructing my vision.
I was forced to pull over and wait for it to clear. The thought of what could have happened if there had been more cars around is chilling. Another driver sped through the puddles without any regard for other vehicles. Thankfully, by the grace of Allah, my family and I were spared a trip to the hospital.
This seemingly small incident served as a stark reminder of the importance of being careful and considerate in all aspects of life, especially while driving.
