SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in parts of South Kashmir to carry out tree pruning and branch cutting along the 33KV power line corridors. According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdowns will impact multiple 33/11KV Receiving Stations and cause power disruptions in the respective areas.
On June 10, the 33KV Wanpoh–Qazigund line will remain shut from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM, affecting the Receiving Stations at Mirbazar, Vessu, Qazigund, Kund, and Chowgam. As a result, power supply to Mir Bazar, Vessu, Kund, Qazigund, and adjoining areas will remain suspended during the shutdown period.
On June 12 and 16, the shutdown of the 33KV Qazigund–Kund Tap line will be observed from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. This will impact Receiving Stations at Qazigund, Kund, and Chowgam, affecting power supply to Qazigund, Kund, YK Pora, Khargund, and nearby localities.
On June 17, the 33KV Kulgam–Devsar line will be shut from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. Receiving Stations at Ashmuji, Kilam, Chumbgund, and Devsar will remain off, leading to disruption of electricity in Ashmuji, Kilam, Devsar, and surrounding areas.
On June 19, the shutdown of the 33KV Kulgam–DH Pora line will take place between 10:00 AM and 04:00 PM. The Receiving Stations at Rambhama, DH Pora, and Nagam will remain non-functional during this time, affecting power supply to DH Pora, Nagam, Rambhama, and adjoining areas.
KPDCL has requested residents of the affected regions to take note of the shutdown schedule and make necessary arrangements to minimise inconvenience.
