Jammu: A head constable was killed while an assistant Sub Inspector of Police was injured in an ongoing encounter in the Billwar area of Kathua district.
Srinagar based news agency GNS quoted officials as saying that during initial firefight, a head constable was killed and one assistant sub-inspector of Police was injured.
The injured ASI was immediately evacuated to the hospital for advanced treatment, they said.
Meanwhile, the operation in the area was underway when this story was being filed.
