Baramulla: Police in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district launched a drive against stunt bikers.

Several bikers have been fined for various traffic violations and many motorcycles were seized on Sunday.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that police had received information that dozens of bikers were performing stunts on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr on Srinagar-Baramulla highway.

Taking cognizance, police stopped dozens of bikers and checked their documents. Most of the bikers were seen without helmets.

“There is a no-toleration policy against all two-wheeler drivers performing stunts thus scaring drivers and pedestrians,” said a senior police officer. [KNT]
